Questions about Endurabook, the pre-order process, and what to expect as an early customer.
Before you buy
Is this a real product?
Yes. I have working prototypes that are currently undergoing testing. The prototype has been shown publicly at the Hertfordshire County Show and a full teardown has been livestreamed. Pre‑production samples have now been ordered for final validation before the first batch is manufactured.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is £550 for the Zorin OS version and £570 for the Windows 11 version. No payment is taken today.
When will it ship?
Delivery is expected in September 2026. The final shipping window will be confirmed before payment is requested.
Is my payment secure?
Pre-orders will be processed through PayPal, which includes Buyer Protection as standard. This means you are covered if the item is not delivered or is significantly different from its description.
The product
What operating system does it ship with?
Endurabook ships with Zorin OS or Windows 11 for a simple out-of-the-box experience. I am actively testing Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, Linux Mint and Manjaro. Compatibility notes and test results are published as part of the validation process.
What makes Endurabook repairable?
RAM, SSD and battery are all replaceable by the owner using Phillips PH0 and PH00 screwdrivers. Guides for these parts will be published before units ship. Other components are replaceable for technically experienced users. Spare parts are available directly with published pricing.
How long will parts be available?
I aim to make spare parts available for at least 5 years from delivery. Availability depends on supplier stock and component lifecycle, and some components may reach End of Life without notice. I request EOL notifications from my manufacturing partner to plan ahead, but unexpected EOL events can occur.
What is the warranty?
Every Endurabook includes a free 5-year warranty covering manufacturing defects and component failures under normal use. Full details are on the warranty and support page.
How long will software updates be supported?
I guarantee 15 years of Linux security updates. Owners retain full control over updates. If Zorin OS is no longer compatible with the hardware, a supported upgrade path to an alternative distribution will be provided. Compatibility with future Windows versions is outside my control.
Orders and returns
What is the returns policy?
You can return your Endurabook within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, even if you simply change your mind. You can open and test the laptop during the 30‑day return period. Full details are on the returns policy page.
Do I pay postage for returns?
For change-of-mind returns within 30 days, customers cover the cost of return shipping. For warranty repairs or confirmed faults, I cover all postage costs.
What happens if there are delays?
If any stage of testing or production takes longer than planned, I will update all pre‑order customers immediately. You will always know the current status, the reason for any delay and the revised timeline. If at any point you prefer not to wait, you can cancel your pre‑order for a full refund.
What if the final specs change?
The hardware specification for the first production batch is now locked and no further changes are expected. If any component does need to change due to supplier availability or reliability improvements, I will communicate this clearly before pre‑orders open.
What happens if testing does not meet your standards?
If final validation standards are not met, I will not ship the product and all pre-orders will be refunded in full.
If your question is not covered here, get in touch and I will get back to you.
